A Deputy Inspector is required to be on-site for "continuous inspection" when concrete that is over 2500 p.s.i. is specified on the approved plans.
The inspection involves verifying that the correct concrete type / psi is delivered to the job, maintaining the “slump” of the concrete (how much water is allowed in that specific load of concrete), verifying that the reinforcement has the proper coverage and clearances, verifying that the concrete is thoroughly consolidated around forms, bolts, etc, and making and testing the required concrete samples.
John Lorenzo Deputy Inspections will perform all of the above listed requirements and list them on your "Deputy Inspection Report", including getting the concrete sample strength test results to you as soon as they are tested so that you will have all of the proper documentation required.
If your project is located anywhere in the Santa Barbara, Ventura or Los Angles areas, and you have any questions regarding the Concrete Deputy Inspection requirements, feel free to call us anytime!
